As an electrical engineer, Ehsan started his career working in the power sector in British Columbia, Canada, where he was involved with the project management team responsible for the development and construction of wind farms and hydroelectric power plants across the province. Due to his interest in construction and project management, Ehsan pursued graduate studies in International Construction Management, followed by a Master of Laws Degree in Oil, Gas and Energy. Over the past 15 years, Ehsan has also worked in various sectors such as nuclear power plant refurbishments, oil and gas, pipelines, airports, and petrochemical complexes in Canada and the Middle East in various capacities including contracts, tenders, quality, project planning and control.
As a contracts lead/manager working with major EPC contractors, Ehsan has been extensively involved with construction claims from subcontractors, documenting and preparing claims for clients, maintenance of change orders, tendering and preparing bidding packages for contractors for out-sourced scopes of work. Construction claims fall into either cost, time, quality or scope categories, all of which Ehsan has been involved with during the course of his career. Having acquired extensive experience working on construction sites in multiple continents, combined with post-graduate academic education, Ehsan is well-positioned to take on senior roles within the construction claims and disputes consultancy sectors.
Ehsan is an Associate member of the ADR Institute of Ontario (ADRIO) and is working towards the advanced designation with CIArb. Ehsan’s core specialty is in renewable and nuclear sectors, concentrating on construction claims and disputes stemming from contract interpretation, EOT, cost, and quality requirements with respect to pertaining codes, standards, and client procedures.
